Data Submission
The process of submitting packaging data to the RPD service. Producers must submit accurate data by specified deadlines, covering all packaging handled within each reporting period by material and type.
Data submission is the act of providing packaging data to the RPD service as required by pEPR. Accurate and timely data submission is a core obligation for all obligated producers.
Key aspects of data submission:
- Deadlines — submissions must be made within specified reporting periods
- Format — data is entered via the RPD portal or uploaded as structured files
- Verification — the system validates data for consistency and completeness
- Amendments — producers can amend submissions within defined windows
Data must be broken down by material type, packaging class, activity type, and nation. Large producers have more granular requirements than small producers. Common errors include miscounting weights, misclassifying materials, and incorrect household/non-household splits. Producers should maintain robust internal data collection systems throughout the year rather than scrambling at deadline time.
